York Based Altland House Catering and Events is expanding its services into Harrisburg and Surrounding areas by opening an event location in what once was The Wedge at Liberty Forge.
Liberty Forge an 18-hole golf course located on Lisburn Road near Lower Allen Twp Community Park in Mechanicsburg will now have a full service event location overlooking the golf course. The main ballroom will accommodate groups up to 250 guests for weddings, social gatherings and corporate functions. Smaller meeting spaces are also available.
The Altland House Restaurant in Abbottstown has been family owned and operated for over fifty years. Betty and Tom Haugh started it in 1950. Their son Mike Haugh started Altland House Hospitality Group and Altland House Catering and Events, which is now being operated by third generation Haugh’s.
Altland House Catering and Events currently provides catering and event services at the Valencia Ballroom and York Expo Center in York, Ski Roundtop in Lewisberry, The Majestic Theatre in Gettysburg and Penn National Golf Course in Fayetteville.
Mike Haugh, owner of Altland House Hospitality Group commented that even in a difficult economy we are seeing substantial growth in our company and we are adding many full and part-time positions. We credit this to our client’s being more aware of the dollars they are spending and the value and quality of service that they receive with Altland House.
Private Events can be booked at Liberty Forge as early as April 1st. Altland House will also host a Thursday night “Jimmy Buffet” Event every Thursday from May through September and a Sunday Brunch every Sunday beginning May 17th.
